  • Much like sunlight in the atmosphere, cold plasma technology (bipolar ionization) produces a natural bioclimate rich in positive and negative oxygen ions. Negative ions contain an extra electron while positive ions lack an electron, resulting in an unstable condition. In an effort to re-stabilize, these bipolar ions seek out atoms and molecules in the air to exchange electrons with them, this principle effectively neutralizes airborne contaminants. Inactivation of airborne pathogens by cold plasma provides a more efficient means of bringing healthy indoor air than is offered by conventional filter devices

  • Cold plasma leads to an absence or a reduction (inhibits) of a behavior (proliferation) of undesirable microorganisms which, in another similar situation, had been present or stronger. A growth inhibitor, such as the cold plasma generator causes a physicochemical reaction that slows down a process and/or hinders it.

  • The propagation of airborne pathogens is the source of airborne disease transmission. They are airborne by small particles over time and distance. These diseases are numerous and of considerable incidence in human medicine. The pathogens concerned can be viruses, bacteria, or fungi. Respiratory and other pathogens can be emitted by breathing, speaking, singing, coughing, sneezing, spitting, and screaming. The propagation of any pathogen attached to fine solid particles or small liquid droplets is maintained by their suspension in the air (microparticle re-flight) Viruses and other pathogenic contaminants can be transmitted from one person to another when an infected person coughs or sneezes, or spreads through contact with contaminated surfaces.

Suspended particles in the air are chargedby ions, which makes clump them together and, when the negative ion concentration in the air is high enough, they are then attracted in large numbers by the floating particles. The particles then become too heavy to stay suspended in the air. Therefore, the particles fall, which prevents them to be inhaled into the respiratory airways.

COLD PLASMA OPERATING PRINCIPLE

The SANITOR™ professional air sanitizer works on the principle of cold plasma generation (non-thermal). It is intended to disinfect and reduce or inhibit the growth or development of microbiological organisms, including bacteria, fungi, viruses and VOCs in a multitude of indoor environments. The hundreds of millions of bipolar ions not only destroy contaminants in the air but also act on contaminants found on inanimate surfaces. Additionally, by its very nature, cold plasma possesses the power to destroy unwanted fumes and odors of all kinds.

Bipolar ionization technology such as that used in the SANITOR™ has demonstrated that non-thermal plasma can inactivate 99.9% of airborne viruses, bacteria, and mold spores by releasing energetic fragments and loaded with air molecules that can destroy viruses in a fraction of a second. The cold plasma is produced in a non-thermal plasma chamber. When pathogens in the air pass through the ion chamber, they react with its unstable atoms called radicals. These modify the lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids of the micro-organisms they encounter either by destroying the pathogenic agents or by simply rendering them harmless.

The SANITOR™ professional air sanitizer is a next-generation electronic device that acts directly on unwanted contaminants by destroying microbiological organisms suspended in the air as well as on inanimate surfaces. Before assembly, the stainless steel is laser cut for unparalleled precision, so the bending of the steel is executed with precision. The welding of the steel box is carried out with a quality equivalent to aeronautical standards. The housings of SANITOR™ devices meet the standards of robustness that would normally be required for industrial grade equipment.

WARRANTY ONE YEAR, PARTS AND LABOR

Sentinel Air Solutions warrants to the original purchaser of the SENTINEL product (hereafter referred to as the «unit») that this unit, and all parts thereof, will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. and maintenance for a period of one (1) year from the date of sale of the unit to the original purchaser or one (1) year from the date of installation if registration is finished. During this one-year period, Sentinel Air Solutions will repair or replace any defective part that Sentinel Air Solutions determines to be defective due to a defect in material or workmanship. During this one-year warranty period, Sentinel Air Solutions will pay, subject to the limitations set forth below, labor, replacement parts, and round-trip shipping costs incurred to our service.
