HOW IT WORKS

Cold plasma or bipolar ionization technology allows for the continuous formation of unstable and highly reactive dioxygen (O2) ions. Although the lifespan of these ions (O2) in the air is short, they attach to any molecules, particles or microorganisms they encounter, oxidizing (destroying) them at the same time.

Bipolar Ionization 101 – The ion is an atom or molecule carrying an electric charge, its number of electrons being different from its number of protons. To produce these ions, simply apply a high voltage between a cathode and an anode. The electrons then move from the anode (-) to the cathode (+). Along the way, they collide with molecules in the atmosphere, creating cold plasma which forms oxygen (O2).

COLD PLASMA IN VENTILATION

Bipolar ionization or cold plasma technology integrated into ventilation systems offers many advantages over other air purification technologies:

QUICK AND EASY INSTALLATION

SaniAIRx attaches directly to the filtered air outlet of the domestic air exchanger. (Model D)
It adapts to all brands of domestic air exchangers with 5” diameter ducts.

The complete installation will only take a few minutes.

On the air exchanger…

1. Disconnect the filtered air duct from the air exchanger (the one that goes towards the house);
2. Slide the SaniAIRx unit onto the rigid neck of the exchanger, and tighten the clamp;
3. Slide the hose (which was previously removed) to the other end of the SaniAIRx;
4. Replace the second clamp and connect the power supply.

Note: It is recommended to have these units installed by an HVAC professional.
